Mandy Abner • Preschool: Having taught preschool for eleven years, Mandy holds a Bachelor degree in Child Development and a M.A. in Teaching with an emphasis in FACS.
Lucy Lemke Clark – Creative Dramatics: Having studied at the American Musical & Dramatics Academy and UCM, Lucy is the preschool director and teacher at Broadway Presbyterian Church.
Jordan Fields • Painting and Drawing: With a BSE in Art Education from the University of Central Missouri, Jordan teaches K-4 Art at Horace Mann Elementary in Sedalia.
Jeremy Fry – Co-Director: The Library Media Specialist at Sedalia Middle School, Jeremy has a BA in elementary education and an MA in elementary administration. A working artist and a Blue Sky enrichment teacher since 20ll, he has taught art, reading, language arts and social studies.
Kelsey Griffin • Registrar: With a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Missouri Valley College and certification in Mild/Moderate Cross Categorical Special Education, Kelsey teaches Special Education English Language Arts at Sedalia Middle School.
Kelly Chapin-Hagen – Enrichment: An art teacher at the Sedalia Middle School, Kelly has taught photography and mixed media for CBS since 2006.
Janice Hargrave • Enrichment: With a B.S.E. in Arts Education and a B.F.S. in studio ceramics, Janice teaches art (K-4) in Washington School.
Bryon Knight – Enrichment: A working ceramic artist with a BFA and an MA in studio art, Barney has taught in the Sedalia School District for twenty-six years and also for State Fair Community College for seven years.
Missy Mays • Nurse/Counselor Director: A school nurse for Sedalia District #200 for fourteen years, Missy was director and camp nurse for Camp Blue Sky for twelve years. This year she is leader of the counselors plus nurse for the camp.
Michael Moellman – Words and Music: A professional performer for twenty-five years, Mike teaches orchestra for grades 5-12 in Sedalia 200’s three schools. He comes to us with a BA from UMKC, an MA in Music from Purchase College, New York and a MAC ARTS in Teaching degree from Southern Oregon University.
Jenny Nold • Sculpture & 3-Dimensional Art: With a degree in Elementary Art, Jenny teaches elementary, high school and gifted classes in Smithton.
Kristen Patrick – Co-Director: An artist, professional photographer, published author and Blue Sky enrichment teacher since 20l2 with a BA in sociology and an MA in special education, Kristen has taught fifth and sixth grade science in the Sedalia schools.
Kelsey Raines • Painting and Drawing: With a Masters in Art Education from the University of Central Missouri, Kelsey loves teaching her students at Skyline Elementary in Sedalia to look at the world with an “artist’s eye”.
Angela Richardson – Kindergarten: With a degree in Special Education, Angela has taught kindergarten in the Sedalia School District and also private preschool for ten years.
Marlo Siron • Mixed Media: With seventeen years educating K-12, Marlo is Technology Coordinator at Sacred Heart School in Sedalia.
Jamie Sparks – Arts Adventures: Jamie is a mother of three children and a former first grade teacher, Jamie is a 200 hour Registered Yoga teacher and an Instructional Coach in an elementary building for the last nine years.
Claraisse Tackett • Storytelling: Claraisse has taught kindergarten for fifteen years in the Sedalia School system, presently at Horace Mann.
Amanda Treelow – Enriched: A teacher of K-7 Art and Gifted classes at Smithton R-VI, Amanda combines a BFA in Interior Design with K-12 certification in art.
Teri Turner • Holding a BSE in Speech and Theater Education, Teri teaches at Smith-Cotton High School. She also serves: as the Vice President of the Speech and Theater Association of Missouri; on the Board of Directors of the Missouri Alliance for Arts Education; and on the Advocacy Leadership Network for the Educational Theater Association.
Alan Weaver – Sculpture & 3-Dimensional Art: Alan has been exhibiting, selling and teaching clay works for thirty-five years
Jamie Yung • Theatre: With a degree in Speech and Theatre from the University of Missouri, Jamie has been teaching high school theatre classes in the Kansas City are for eighteen years and for Camp Blue Sky almost as long.
